All classes are on Sunday at FantasyMakers in El Cerrito from 2pm-5pm unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 1:30 pm. Reservations are necessary. Sunday, November 22, 2009 Do you need or want CPR certification and prefer to go to a scene friendly instructor? Would you know what to do in an emergency? Come find out AND get certification! This is a "for real" class and those who successfully complete it will receive two-year certification recognized by OSHA (and the Dungeon Monitors Association) in both First Aid and Adult CPR. This class is primarily for members of the BDSM community, and BDSM-related emergencies will receive special attention, but it is open to all adults who would feel comfortable being there. Requested donation is $60.00 per person and nobody will be refused due to lack of funds. This covers workbooks, certificates, handouts, and special first aid supplies that the students get to keep. Space is limited so early RSVP is recommended. If you'd like a warm-up before the class, please take a look at www.learncpr.org. Note: I specialize in offering affordable, effective training in emergency care, at both basic and advanced levels, to alternative, at-risk groups including dungeon monitors, sex workers, rave staff, and others. About the Presenter: Jay Wiseman has over 35 years of experience in BDSM and was one of the early pioneers and builders of the BDSM community in the San Francisco area. He continues to be heavily involved, both in his local area and nationally, as an SM author, educator, mentor, workshop leader, video producer, expert witness, and activist. Noted for being both an exceptionally knowledgeable and highly entertaining presenter, he is very much in demand and has presented on various aspects of relationships and sexuality in more than 50 cities in the United States and Canada. In 2007, Black Rose presented him with the Vaughn Keith National Educator Award. Jay is the author of the frequently recommended book "SM 101: A Realistic Introduction" and the founder of the publishing company that later became Greenery Press. His book, "Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook" is widely hailed as the book that sets the standard of fundamental knowledge for this practice. His instructional videos on rope bondage are excellent resources for both beginners and experienced bondage practitioners. His most recent book, “The Toybag Guide to Dungeon Emergencies and Supplies” provides crucial information to both players and dungeon monitors.
